Sexual Health Week 2024

Taking care of your sexual health is crucial for your overall wellbeing and confidence as a young adult.

With many of our students aged 16-18 years old, this is an important time to build healthy habits and make informed choices that will impact your future.

Sexual Health Week is a time when as an organisation, we raise awareness about various aspects of sexual health and promoting open, informed discussions. This week highlights key issues such as consent, relationships and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) prevention. It aims to provide resources and support to help individuals make safe, respectful and informed decisions regarding their sexual health.

Sexual health isn鈥檛 just about preventing unwanted pregnancies or avoiding STIs. It鈥檚 about understanding your body, being aware of your rights and ensuring that your experiences are consensual and respectful.

Making good decisions starts with being well-informed, and at 3P合辑, we鈥檙e here to support you every step of the way. At our colleges, we take your health and safety seriously. Our college nurses (Oxfordshire campuses only) are available for confidential consultations, whether you have questions about contraception, need to discuss symptoms, or want advice on maintaining healthy relationships. Don鈥檛 hesitate to drop by or book an appointment, it鈥檚 a judgment-free zone dedicated to your care.

At other campuses we have nurses who visit regularly from a local NHS foundation trust or representatives from local organisations who you can chat with and can sign post you to local sexual health services.

Our Speak Up, Speak Out campaign is another key resource. This initiative focuses on educating students about consent, healthy boundaries, and recognising signs of abuse. Knowing your rights and how to navigate challenging situations can empower you to make choices that keep you safe and respected. Attending workshops or engaging with campaign activities can equip you with the knowledge and confidence to handle these topics responsibly.

Remember, taking charge of your sexual health is vital to your self-care and wellbeing. Make the most of the resources available, ask questions and talk openly with our Student Support services.

Whether at college or in your broader community, there鈥檚 support to help you stay informed, healthy and confident. Prioritise your wellbeing and know that we鈥檙e here to support you every step of the way.
